Treasurer, Creative Director & Co-Head Organizer
Clay has become completely immersed in the Harry Potter fan community since he had the good fortune of finding the HP-NYC meet-up group. When he is not doing his day job, running a non-profit, he spends his time acting, writing, and is the co-host of Geeklectic on Gallifrey a podcast that focuses on Doctor Who episodes and other geeky topics. He is a coach of the NY Badassilisks IQA Quidditch team and a member of several committees dedicated to promoting and organizing the sport.

When Trissa discovered the Harry Potter community back in 2005, she knew she had found a home. Since then, she has presented and volunteered at several Harry Potter Cons. She also served as the MISTI-Con 2013 Formal Programming Coordinator. A Slytherin, she is a member of both Portkey to Magic - Tampa Bay and the Central Florida Slug Club. She finds great joy in costuming and cos-play, and loves all things Snape.
Special Events Coordinator
Christine is an actress, costumer, and award winning cosplayer. (Pond Life Cosplay: www.comealongpond.com) currently, she is living the dream as the Associate General Manager of the St Luke’s Theatre (www.stlukestheatre.com), an Off-Broadway theatre just steps off of the Great White Way. Bored with the muggle world, she sought out the Harry Potter community and when she discovered HP- NYC this Gryffindor found her Harry Potter family. Christine attended her first large convention, Infinitus, in 2010. She started presenting at Aeternitas in 2011 and now Christine attends several conventions a year giving presentations and workshops. She hopes to teach and to encourage others in their dreams of cosplay and to help them realize their dreams are attainable and to promote a health fandom.
Ray "The Dark Lord Bartender" Smith
Ray has been a bartender for the Margate Resort for 10.5 years. A tremendous fan of fantasy literature, he has read the House of Night, Vampire Academy, Eragon, Percy Jackson, and Hunger Games series. Ray also designs several special events held at MISTI-Con. He wants all of his fans to know that not only will his 15 original signature Harry Potter character drinks be returning; but he has been busy, and his menu now exceeds 100 themed drinks!
Leanna Renee Hieber
Literary Programming Coordinator
Leanna, aka Lady Malfoy, is an actress, playwright, and author of Gothic Victorian Fantasy novels such as the Strangely Beautiful and the Magic Most Foul sagas and the forthcoming Eterna Files. Her books have been on bestseller lists; garnered numerous awards; have been selected for national book club, Scholastic, and foreign language editions; and the Strangely Beautiful saga is in development as a musical theatre production. Informal Programming Coordinator
Cass Morris is a native of the Shenandoah Valley and co-founder of Virginia is for Wizards. In addition to working in the education department at the American Shakespeare Center and acting with Clever By Half Productions, she writes historical fantasy novels, represented by Fuse Literary Agency . She moderated several HP RPG and fan communities during the heyday of LiveJournal, has written many fanfics over the years, and currently co-mods American Wizarding, a historical and cultural headcanon blog.
Academic Programming Coordinator
Melissa is a Professor of English and Foreign Languages at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, where she teaches a Harry Potter course. She enjoys studying Shakespeare and other Renaissance drama. She has presented several papers on Lupin and werewolves at HP conventions, including “The Werewolf Renaissance, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Moon” and “Lycanthropy Legislation in a Modern World: A Modest Proposal.”
Public Relations and Publicity Coordinator
Stephen Webb is a husband, a stay-at-home-dad for an amazing 6 year old future Gryffindor, and lover of most things geeky. He discovered Harry Potter in July 2000 when his wife wanted to go to the Midnight release of Goblet of Fire and now 15 years later it has served as the gateway to meeting some of his closest friends. When he isn't in full on daddy mode he can be found post padding on various message boards, submerged in some form of pop culture or co-hosting his Doctor Who podcast Geeklectic on Gallifrey.
Logistics Director & Co-Head Organizer
Jonathon is head organizer of The Group That Shall Not Be Named (HP-NYC). He has been involved in numerous HP fandom projects over the last few years including serving as Co-Head Chair of Aeternitas, Entertainment Director of the Quidditch World Cup V, General Manager of the NY Badassilisks Quidditch team, and member of the NYC Wizard Rock Festival 1 and 2 organization teams. He recently started co-hosting "Always" - The Potter Fandom Podcast.
Sarah is an avid organizer and bossy know-it-all. She joined The Group That Shall not Be Named (HP-NYC) in May of 2011, and has also participated in several conventions. She can often be found running pitches at large events such as Quidditch World Cup VI and the North East regional Quidditch tournaments of 2012 and 2013. Though her muggle coworkers may find her a little odd, she is a fledgling cosplayer and lover of all things geeky.
& Logistics Assistance
Deanna is a lot of things to a lot of people and most definitely a big deal. Originally from Boston, she has been active in the Harry Potter community both there and in NYC. A proud Gryffindor, Deanna has been an assistant organizer with HP-NYC for 4 years. In her spare time she likes to costume and sew, talk to herself, and read dirty Harry/Draco fanfiction. This may or may not be her natural hair color.
Graphic Design Coordinator
Jennifer works as a graphic designer and fine artist who has created several logo, print, and web designs for HP-NYC, The NYDA HPA, and The Dancing Death Eaters. She also runs her own cake decorating business, Jenny’s Cakes With Character, specializing in geek-themed culinary creations. When not designing, she is a backup dancer for wrock band Swish and Flick and a Fangs cheerleader for the New York Badassilisks. She illustrates a parody comic called “Harry Loves Snape.”
Cassandra Johnstone is currently studying acting and is an avid artist. She is obsessed with theater, photography, illustration, costume design, dance, and stage combat. She is the creator/director of The Zero Hour Collective, a young adult theater company in Chicago that creates edgy, fantastical productions. Cassandra also has a wild passion for cosplay. Over the past year she has been delighting in teaching Wand Dueling classes to Harry Potter fans at conventions.
Perseus & Draco LePage
Costuming Specialists, Artists in Residence Well-known in the Potterverse for acting and appearing in character as Lucius and Draco Malfoy, they've also been known to surprise with Tolkien Elves, Ricean Vampires, and others. Perseus works in Biotechnology releasing medicine for rare diseases. He is a classically trained actor, vocalist, dancer, avid equestrian, and weight trainer. Draco (yes, that is his real name) is an artist, calligrapher, and trained hair & make-up artist. He sings with Perseus and is an amateur herbalist and potions master.
Muggle Technology Coordinator
A life-long lover of Science Fiction and Fantasy since the early 1970s, James read all 7 books and realized that he could make Snape's outfit, which he presented in the 2008 Arisia Masquerade. He has attended LeakyCon 2009, and is on the Masquerade staff for Arisia since 2010, and has presented panels and workshops at Arisia, Aeternitas 2011, and MISTI-Con 2013. He is a cohost on Sci-Fi Journal, a public access television show in Rhode Island.
