Lawrence is thrilled to be returning to MISTI-CON!
A proud native New Yorker and Drama graduate of the original “Fame” School of Performing Arts. A lifelong entertainer and unashamed geek, he is also the founder of GeekLifeRules, a cosplay, entertainment and event hosting endeavor and producer, director and host of the NY Cosplay Cabaret @53Above/Broadway Comedy Club. His performance credits include the title role in Julie Taymor’s Juan Darien, Smokey Joe’s Café, Rent, Freedom’s Song: A New Musical and 14 years as a featured vocalist around the world for Carnival Cruises/Playlist Productions. Currently, he’s working on his first EP Love Comes Through, touring his internationally renowned solo salute to Motown and classic soul, “Nightshift” and can currently be seen starring in Motor City Live! at the new Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City and the upcoming West Wing Weekend in Bethesda, MD. Cat Smith is the reigning Miss Nerdstiles, having inherited the crown from absolutely no one, because she made it up. She will serve as co-host and co-emcee with Lawrence for the Opening Ceremony. She is performing in and co-wrote the lyrics for Albus & Scorpius’s Excellent Adventure on Friday at 7pm. Her solo set is Friday at 12:30pm in the Westchester Ballroom.
She is an actor, a musician, a cosplayer since before they had a word for it, and a general nuisance (General Nuisance salute).
