What is the Official Hotel of Misti-Con?
When will the hotel begin accepting reservations?
No sooner than 1 year before the end of the event. We will post the avaiilability to registered attendees and then the general public after the code is released to us. (This should be during the week of July 21st 2018.)
Yes! Reservations may be made online, but reservations MUST use our special rate code.
Does the hotel have a website where I can make a reservation?
Yes! Rooms must be reserved with our group code and will be $159/night plus taxes and fees.
Is there a special room rate for Misti-Con?
I am under 21. Can I still stay at the official hotel?
You must be 18 years of age or older to book a room at the Hilton Doubletree. Attendees younger than 18 must stay in a room with someone who is older than 18.
To guarantee a reservation, a major credit card or a deposit equal to one night's lodging is required. Deposit must be received when the reservation is placed. All advance deposits and credit card guarantees are credited to the last night of the reservation. Balance is due in full upon arrival. All major credit cards are accepted. Cancellations more than 3 days prior to arrival will not accrue a cancellation fee. Cancellation within 3 days of arrival will be billed for one room night.
Will I have to pay for the full amount at time of booking or a deposit?
Will MISTI-Con be handling the reservations or do I call the hotel directly?
All reservations must be made between the attendee and the hotel directly using our code. Either by calling or by using the exclusive link to our reservation. Unless a written contract or agreement specifies otherwise, this applies to ALL attendees, staff, performers, and guests.
Check in time is 3:00pm. Check out time is noon.Late check out has associated fees: $35.00 $35.00 1pm - 3pm, $55.00 3pm - 5pm. Full days charge after 5pm.
What are the check in and check out times at the host hotel?
Rooms have coffee makers and mini-fridges. A limited number of microwaves are available for a fee. Please check with the hotel.
Do the rooms have fridges, microwaves, coffee makers?
There is a large amount of free parking for hotel attendees but parking is not guaranteed. There is no "paid" parking at the hotel.
Will there be enough parking for those who drive?
Yes and yes.
Is there an ATM at the host hotel? Wifi?
I use a wheelchair or mobility device with wheels. How many handicapped rooms are available? Do the rooms have handicapped accessible bathrooms?
There are a limited number of fully accessible rooms available, to ensure that that the rooms meet your specific needs please call and discuss your needs with the hotel representatives. These rooms, as all the rooms, are first come-first served so please make your inquiries early to ensure you can get your needed room.
I've seen pictures of the layout of the hotel where the are stairs leading up to some rooms? Can I reserve a specific room if I can't climb stairs? Are there elevators that go to those levels?
Yes, in order to avoid the stairs, you will need to reserve a specific room that is before the stairway. Please call the hotel to reserve the room that meets your needs. There is an elevator that will reach each floor of the building, but there is not an elevator over each of these small staircases in the middle of the hallways.
This service is not available officially, but if you indicate when you check in that you would like to be grouped "with quiet people if possible" then the hotel will do their best to accommodate your request.
I need to have quiet when I sleep. Will there be blocks of rooms designated as Quiet/Family and Party rooms depending on needs?
A map of the hotel facility will be provided. Plan according to your own needs.
Is there any way to know which rooms will be closest to the potential panel rooms? I may have to return to my room quickly due to stress/anxiety/costume changes.
I loved the pool, the sauna, and the hot tub at the Margate. Does Doubletree have any of those features?
There is a pool and a sauna. There is no hot tub.

Does the hotel offer/include breakfast with a night's stay?
If we won't have exclusive use of the hotel, will we still be able to have the Owl Post Exchange?
The Owl Post will be utilizing a space inside the Common Room as opposed to the system used in the past. (This change was due to lost or damaged items and requested by the creators, not due to the hotel change.)
The special drinks have always been a great part of the MISTI-Con experience. Will the new hotel be able to make any of the drinks or create new ones?
There will be special drinks, though exactly what the menu will be like and how the bartenders will interact has not yet been set.
Will there be places we can gather informally, like a Common Room, the hotel lobby, a patio, or somewhere?
Yes. There will be a common room. There are ample other infromal gathering areas, both inside of and outside of the hotel. We do ask however that people DO NOT gather in the hotel's main lobby.
MISTI-Con staff will not be arranging room-shares or compiling lists of roommate searches. However, attendees are encouraged to post on our facebook page or message each other to look for roommates.
How can I find a roommate? Will you help me find a roommate or two?
I’m coming in for a few extra days. Can I stay in the official hotel for additional nights?
Yes. It is possible to book your stay to include time both before and after the convention (with limited availability at the convention rate).
